Brahmatal Trek the lake where Lord Brahman is said to have meditated according to mythology, is one of the few hikes that is possible during the winter months when most hiking trails are closed. Lohajung, which is the base camp for Brahamatal trekking, is a small town of great mythological significance. Here you have to interact with the locals and hear great stories about the city. These stories provide a glimpse into local culture and beliefs. Brahmatal hiking is a great winter option and is on the opposite side of the famous Roopkund.
The magnificent views of the Himalayas from the trail are one of the many reasons to make this hike. Jääjärvi is located at an altitude of 3180 meters. The trail of this hike is completely covered in snow and is a paradise for snow enthusiasts. Some of the seven thousand visible are Trishul, Nandaghunti, Chowkhamba, Nilkanth, Kamet, Hathi and Ghoda. Most of the trail of the Roopkund hike is also visible from this hike, including views of Ali Bugyal, Bedni Bugyal and Junargal. The walk takes place mostly in the jungle of conifers, cedar, oak and spruce, which in itself is a soothing experience during the winter months. As Brahmatal has not attracted much crowds, it remains largely pristine and peaceful.
The best time for Brahmatal Trek is from December to February. Stay tuned for more information like - Brahmalta hiking trail, route map, temperature chart, photos and videos. Scroll to the end to read the Brahamtal hiking blog
